Not all the letters of the alphabet require the same amount of instructional focus. Children don't need an entire week to learn the letter their names start with. They also don't need a week to learn the letters of their families and friends first names.
This is wonderful news because it frees us from the constraints of only one letter at a time. Instead of following a scripted curriculum of alphabet activities, start with the letters the children in your setting are interested in and go from there.
